Today, on TV, I heard a great statement, “The difference between a successful person and a less successful person is how quickly they recover from a failure.” Not sure if this is a quote. I tried to search for the author, to no avail.
The more I think about the statement, the more meaning I find. Recovering from failure quickly likely means:
1. You have great confidence you will success eventually.
2. You’re more likely to success sooner because you don’t waste time thinking about things you can no longer change.
3. You separate emotion from your failures long enough to learn a lesson and move forward.
4. You don’t cloud your focus on a goal with regret, resentment or blame.
What a great concept to employ to take swift strides in your journey to a goal.
